The new strategy of Orhei Town, completed and discussed within public hearings

Orhei Town will have a new local development strategy, covering the period 2014-2020. The strategy was developed in the framework of an EU project. It has been discussed within public hearings today, December 24.



EU project, another stage successfully completed

Experts of an EU project have prepared local development strategies for Orhei and Telenesti Towns. They cover the period 2014-2020. The strategy for Telenesti Town has been discussed within public hearings, on December 18, 2013, in order to be adjusted and presented to the Local Council for approval. Public consultations were held on the same day, there were discussed the infrastructure projects to be implemented.



Project implemented with Polish support successfully completed

The project launched by Business Consulting Institute and the PAUCI Foundation in April 2013 has come to an end. Its final results are to be presented on Tuesday, December 10, at the closing conference, which will bring together specialists from the beneficiary districts, experts from Poland and representatives of the Polish government.

International Conference „Centrifugal and Centripetal Trends in Post-Soviet Space: Stance towards Sustainable Development”

On the eve of the Summit in Vilnius, Business Consulting Institute organizes the International Conference „Centrifugal and Centripetal Trends in Post-Soviet Space: Stance towards Sustainable Development”, on November 13, 2013. It will be attended by experts from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Macedonia, Serbia and Moldova.



The age of decentralization or the end of an uninitiated reform

The term of decentralization, unknown for majority in Moldova, has been recently adopted by our politicians, about ten years ago. In 2006, due to the pressure of the European institutions and civil society, the communist Parliament has approved a normative document – the law on administrative decentralization. After the pro-European alliance has acceded to power, the idea of decentralization has been retaken, being introduced as governance priority to all the programmes of the governments after 2009.
